Get Well Soon!

Hi everyone!!  Well, I’m back with another of those adorable images from The Paper Nest Store  This time I’m using, “Bedtime Ellie” in my design.  I couldn’t even begin to resist that rolled up hair! Hee
Of course I colored my Ellie with Copic markers.  I used my Blender Pen a lot on this image.  After coloring her robe, I dotted it with the Blender Pen which, as you may know, removes color.  It gave me just the texture I was hoping for on the robe.  You may also know there are several ways to achieve “texture” on a Copic colored image such as… putting Blender Solution onto a dish rag and pressing it to your colored area.  LOVE that look as well.
After I colored Ellie I then roughed up the edges for a bit of a distressed look and added some Tim Holtz Distress ink, “Vintage Photo” as well.
My DP is from the Prima “Romance Novel” pack and the coordinating flowers.  LOVE that paper pack!!!  I added a bit of lace along the edge of my image and a simple cameo stick pin which I THINK might be from Websters Pages.
I really like how this turned out.  A bit muted but still with some beautiful color.  Oh yes… not only did I “dot” with my Blender Pen… I also dotted the bunny with different Copic colors to get texture on him as well.  😉
The Paper Nest images are so much fun and it seems she adds tons and tons more every week!!  Stop on over and check out all the fabulous Ellies along with even some the cute Owen images.
It’s Friday!!!  Hope you can go out and enjoy the weather and that wherever you are, if you have the rain and thunderstorms you stay safe!! Thanks for stopping by, as always.  *HUGS*

We are Proud of You!

Hi everyone,
My name is Sharon, and I am the face behind the SMSCRAPPER videos on Youtube, as well as The Night Owl Scrapper Blog. I love everything crafty, and I’m very into scrapbooking, card making, and altered projects. I have been creative, and into the arts all my life, being introduced to many different aspects of it since very young. I am the busy mom of a toddler, who loves creating, and sharing with people from all over the world. I’ve been actively scrapbooking since the end of 2008, and have been  making video tutorials, and more on YouTube since April of 2010. I currently teach at my local scrapbooking store, and have been lucky to work with several companies in the field. This hobby is my way to relax, and I could not live without it!
Today I’m very excited to share my Guest Design Post for The Paper Nest Dolls. I used Graduation Ellie for my card, and I loved using her, as well as the Glitz “Yours Truly” Design Paper.
Ellie is super adorable, and so easy to paper piece, which is what I did with her outfit. I colored her skin, hair, and accesories with my beloved Copic Markers. I added some cheese cloth for some texture in the back of the image, and added some paper flowers and some bling from my stash. Below you can see a picture of the inside of the card.
I enjoyed working with Ellie, and I hopeyou liked my project. Thanks so much to The paper Nest Dolls for inviting me to Guest Design. I had a blast! Take care everyone!

Ringmaster Ellie… On a Necklace!

Hello!  I am Kim of Kimbee’s Creations.  I have been papercrafting for a long time…probably over ten years.  I started with scrapbooking and then eventually got hooked on card making about four years ago, while I was on maternity leave with my daughter.  I am also into other crafts, such as crocheting, jewelry making, altered arts, etc.  You can find some of my finished products in my blog of course and my Etsy store.
It is my pleasure to be guest designing for The Paper Nest Dolls!  Christine’s stamps/images are super adorable and fun to color!
I’ve made lots of cards with The Paper Nest Dolls images already so for my post today, I decided to make this pendent using a round glass dome and pendent tray.  I used Ringmaster Ellie.  This pendent necklace is super easy to make.  I colored Ellie and adhered her to the glass dome. I then glued the glass dome to the tray.
The pendent is about an inch in diameter.  The ball chain is 24 inches.
I hope everyone enjoyed looking at my project as much as I enjoyed making it!

It’s time for another card for my guest spot here at The Paper Nest Dolls
Today I got to play with the adorable King Owen and I decided he would be perfect for a cute birthday card.

Card Recipe:
